My professional practice is focused on successful families, business owners and near-retirees, where I feel I can make a substantial difference in the quality of their lives. My team and I take pride in providing independent and comprehensive process-based advice that is customized around client values, goals and needs, often in conjunction with an expert network team of affiliated professionals.

My experience includes having served in a court of law as an expert financial witness and appearing in several national periodicals including the Dow Jones Investment Advisor, where I was highlighted in the February 2004 cover story, “Fresh Faces in Financial Planning.” I was also named by Long Island Business News as a 40 Under 40 Honoree in 2008.  In 2013, I was part of the 8th Cohort of the Goldman Sachs/Babson College 10,000 Small Business Program - the top program in the country to help small businesses share and learn best practices. In addition, my firm has been recognized and was a finalist for the HIA-LI Small Business Achievement Award in the fall of 2013 and 2014, as well as the Long Island Business News as the inaugural recipient of the 2015 Top Financial Advisors: Home Grown Team Award.

A graduate of C.W. Post, Long Island University’s Certification Program in Financial Planning and Dowling College, I obtained my BBA in Finance with high honors. I believe in the pursuit of higher education and continued learning, which is why I also frequently lecture on areas in my field and provide continuing professional education (CPE) credits to other professionals.

I believe that my career is about service and that has always been a large part of my life. I offer my time as a volunteer fireman in the Riverhead Fire Department, and am an active donor for Long Island Blood Services. Additionally, myself and the magii staff spend time at the Long Island Cares Food Bank and are strong supporters of the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation / MS Hope for a Cure. I grew up on the scenic North Fork of Long Island and still live and support the community alongside my wife and three beautiful children.

My career began in the restaurant industry where I managed restaurants for nearly 15 years. Thriving on the energy and customer service aspect of the business, I moved on to become the New York Regional Customer Service Manager for TruGreen Companies. During that time, I managed a team of 40 customer service representatives in 8 locations. Building on both my financial management and customer service experience, I have now made my home at magii Wealth Management where I don many hats from process improvement to human resources and customer service.

My husband and I have been married since St. Patrick’s Day, 2001. Together we have two beautiful children, our son, Logan, and daughter, Laurel. In my free time, I enjoy watching movies with my sister, reading and spending quality time with my children.

For close to 20 years, I have been in the banking and financial services industry. My career began at J.P. Morgan Chase as an Account Representative and within my first year, I was promoted to work with the business middle market and private banking clients. Building on my customer service skills, I advanced to the international personal banking department where I worked closely with overseas clients.

In 2001, I became securities licensed while employed at Dreyfus Service Corporation as a Senior Client Specialist in the institutional sales department. I continued to work in finance and was most recently the Director of Financial Operations at a regional broker-dealer. Today, I’ve made my home at magii as the Wealth Management Executive Assistant.

When I’m not working, I volunteer as PTA Council Treasurer and with community building initiatives. I am married with four children and enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, movies, dining out and traveling.

I started my career as a cook/waiter for 10 years and moved into the retirement industry in 2000 with a large-national provider for 14 years.  Realizing I wanted something more, I found my way to magii pension services, where I enjoy each day and haven’t looked back since.

I enjoy helping people and seeing them get what they are entitled to. The surprise that someone has when they are told they have more money in their retirement plan than they thought makes my job very enjoyable.

My day-to-day duties consist of assisting clients and participants to better understand what they are saving for with their contributions and helping them if they get into a situation where they need loans, distributions, or rollovers.

Outside of work, I love to spend my time with my partner, Alisha, and our three children, Imagine, Kaitlyn, and Vash. I enjoy watching the Mets, movies, and anime, listening to all sorts of music, and relaxing with video games and books.

I started my career as a cashier/bookkeeper in a local grocery store, worked briefly in a bank then made my way to a large national TPA organization where I worked in a similar job role.  I felt that at a large company, I was just a number, and then found magii pension, where I feel very settled and happy knowing that they care about me and my family as much as we all do for our clients. It is a great fit.

I enjoy being part of a team that is eager to help clients have the best experience possible.  On a day-to-day basis, I help ensure all plans are maintained efficiently. Doing my part to stay connected with our clients.  I get that our clients do not always understand how a plan works, and do my best to help make sense of the foreign language that is “retirement”.

I assist clients with their plan, helping simplify what seems to be complicated and overwhelming, helping them understand their plan design to stay in compliance with the IRS/DOL.

I am currently studying for the ASPPA QKA designation.

Outside of work, I spend my time with my husband, children, and family. We enjoy places such as the beach, water parks, amusement parks, sporting events, the zoo, museums, and the aquarium. From time to time, my family volunteers for a local animal rescue where they help take care of cats and kittens.  My favorite thing to do is watch my kids in their activities, challenging themselves to strive for better.  They are ambitious to do better today than they did yesterday.  Together we have gone skiing, tubing down a river, tubing on a speed boat, bungee jumping at 6 Flags, jet skiing, swam with sting rays, rode on a banana boat, and took a bike ride through the trails of Lake Minnewaska.

Since the 1990s, I have held a variety of roles in the financial services industry including designing and implementing web-based retirement modeling tools for several large companies. Tired of having little contact with the everyday person, I transitioned away from generic modeling and began working with individuals and small businesses under the direction of a CPA and financial planner. This is where I first experienced the benefits of marrying together client’s financial plans with their annual tax filing needs.

For this reason, I became licensed with the IRS as an Enrolled Agent and have also earned the distinction of being a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. I am also a member of the National Association of Tax Practitioners (NATP) and the Financial Planning Association (FPA). I understand that the tax and financial planning landscape is always changing and membership in these organizations allows me to stay current on new opportunities available to my clients.

On a personal note, I am married and live in Setauket, New York with my wife and two young children.
