The McGarry "Love In Action" Foundation Inaugural 5K

magii is proud to have sponsored the McGarry "Love in Action" Foundation's inaugural 5k this past weekend at Venetian Shores in Lindenhurst.  

The McGarry “Love in Action” Foundation, Inc. was created in honor of an amazing couple, Kris, and Joe McGarry. They were foster parents in Nassau County for over thirty years, taking countless foster children into their home. During that time, it became clear to them that the system was not preparing these foster children for success after they aged out of foster care. The Foundation seeks to change that. Their goal is to raise awareness and funds to set up these young adults for a life they can look forward to and where they can succeed in whatever endeavor they set out to do. The foundation also seeks to provide financial support to families that are going through the hardship of dealing with a cancer diagnosis.
